![]() ![]() I mean sure the initial part where you run away from a necro in 1 is scary but once you get a gun the horror is lost imo when you can fight back. It was much more the environments of the ishimura, titan station and tau volantis that sold the horror aspects Tbh my other unpopuar opinion is that the necromorphs never really were scary to me. Oh no you're completely valid to want a scarier game than 1 tbh and i wouldnt really mind another game like 3 either as long as we ended up getting a sequel to 3. I realize im getting off track but i have like a big wishlist for ds4 and i hope to god the remake does well and fuels enough interest in ea to pursue a 4th game I'd kill for an amazing co-op action horror again, maybe leaning a bit more towards ds2 in regards to no universal ammo but rather just with to being able to mod your weapons and a bit more variety in weaponry than even 3 had. That being said I hope we do get ds4 and however unlikely as it is i do hope isaac and carver survived (judging by what i've heard from the community its unlikely due to the ending of awakening and the fact that one of the plots involving ds4 involved playing as ellie) but a man can dream Personally at worst i see dead space as ehh serviceable but at best i really enjoy the lore it gave us in regards to things like the moon (the lore as a whole imo felt like it was at it's best in three since it was quite a lot in comparison to the rather sparse lore set about in 1 and 2) That being said I really loved ds3, i get why people don't like it per se but i feel like its massively overhated in the fandom for I'm not trying to say dead space 3 is entirely innocent or anything of the sort, i just don't think it would have ever returned to the true horror that everyone really wanted.
